The mission of the Michigan Port Collaborative is to elevate the recognition and economic vitality of our port communities while protecting and promoting our Great Lakes and developing our coast as Michigan’s Front Door.
The Michigan Port Collaborative is rapidly advancing! At our Spring 2010 Summit, members of the Collaborative will: • Inaugurate our formal structure, bylaws and board of directors • Explore the Port of Muskegon and its region through excursions, networking and presentations • Identify assets and needs for Michigan’s Great Lakes Ports • Develop policy and budget priorities at the state, national and international levels • Expand our membership, both diversifying and strengthening our numbers • Initiate a five-year Strategic Plan
